Inca Agate

The Gem Shop has received a new shipment of nodular Inca Agate!  Inca Agate displays beautiful red, orange, yellow, and purple coloring in nodular formations.  The nodules can also have pseudomorphic and sagenitic inclusions.  Inca Agate is mined high in the Andes Mountains in Peru.  This nodular material is collected out of four different deposits.  First brought to the market at the Wonderful World of Agates Show in 2012, this new banded agate showcases great promise to agate collectors worldwide.  The Gem Shop now has a variety of nodular Inca Agate material:

KMGS Annual Rock Show

     The Gem Shop will be at the Kettle Moraine Geological Society's Annual Rock Show this weekend in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  The show will have several dealers, demonstrations, silent auctions, and a fluorescent rock mineral room.  We will have cabochons, specimens, our kids kits, and much more!  The show is held at the Waukesha Expo Center and runs from 10am - 5pm on Saturday the 8th and from 10am - 4pm on Sunday the 9th.  Come on out it will be fun for the whole family!  For more details:  http://www.travelwisconsin.com/events/fairs-festivals/kettle-moraine-geological-society-s-annual-rock-show-41031
