This polished Laguna Lace Agate specimen shows dark hues of red and orange, with hints of pink, gray, and white. The bottom section is opaque jasper, and the top edge has a ring of clear crystal. Between this is intricate lacey patterning with strong parallax.

Laguna Lace Agate, often called Red Lace Agate, comes from northwestern Chihuahua, Mexico in a region known for lace agates. While red and white are prevalent colors, it also frequently shows yellow, orange, pink, or even blue or purple. Sections or bands of quartz are common in this vein agate, as well as intricate patterns as a result of tube formations or pseudomorphs of calcite crystals.
