This Pyrite cube in Marl Matrix is from Navajún, Spain. These are natural pyrite minerals and are famous all around the world for their incredible formation. Originally discovered in 1965, the mine has been continually worked to this day. The chemical formula for pyrite is FeS2.
This features one cube measuring 2.9 x 2.9 x 3.1cm in its original matrix, approximately 8cm long.

It is important to note, when cleaning your cubic pyrite NEVER clean it with water. The matrix is water-soluble and will disintegrate. Instead, dust it with something soft like a microfiber cloth or Q-Tip.
