This polished cabochon is made from Palomino Picture Jasper and shows a speckled light gray sky with banding below in light khaki shades creating a landscape scene.

Palomino Jasper is one of the many picture jaspers found in Malheur County, Oregon, within the large wilderness region of the Owyhee Canyonlands. Its name comes from the Palomino Creek and reservoir, which is nearby its formation.
