This specimen has a natural back with a polished face in shades of golden tan jasper. It features different sections of thin landscape bands and thick golden brown dendrites or tiny black dendrites.

Owyhee Picture Jasper comes from eastern Oregon, in an area between Succor Creek and the Owyhee River that produces many different jaspers. It was among some of the now-famous jaspers that helped inspire and fuel the Picture Jasper Rush of the 60s and 70s, an integral part of rockhounding history in the United States.
