A polished specimen featuring a quartz center surrounded by translucent banding, golden orange and pale gray agate, with black dendrites. Each side is cut flat and polished.

Montana Moss Agate formed with and amongst agatized wood, and both were naturally transported and eroded through glacial movement. Sometimes what appear to be independent nodules are actually pieces of broken log sections. This piece could be a limb cast, as they commonly have long quartz centers.
