This large Megalodon fossil tooth comes from the coast of South Carolina. The textured upper root is very dark brown to black, with a grey tooth beneath. The edges have well preserved serration and just a few small chips.

The otodus megalodon is an extinct species of shark that swam and lived in warm oceans globally, from the Miocene to Pliocene eras. The largest Megalodon tooth ever found has been just under 7 1/2 inches long!
