This large Megalodon fossil tooth comes from the coast of South Carolina. The upper root is textured and is very dark brown to black, with a gray and beige tooth beneath. The edges are fairly well preserved with very few chips and partially weathered serration.

The otodus megalodon is an extinct species of shark that swam and lived in warm oceans globally, from the Miocene to Pliocene eras. The largest Megalodon tooth ever found has been just under 7 1/2 inches long!
