Lake Superior Agates, commonly called Lakers, most often come from Minnesota, Michigan's Upper Peninsula, or northwestern Wisconsin. Lakers are believed to be the oldest agates and are found already displaced and partially tumbled as the result of glacier movement through the Superior trough, disrupting the agate beds and transporting them for potentially thousands of miles.
