Kowallabe Quartzite is a recently mined quartzite from Australia with a hardness of about 5 to 6. It features translucent sections of white and gray with pink banding and dramatic patterning, but also has opaque portions with earthy tones of black, green, and orange, and flashes of golden yellow commonly along the edges of the vein.
