Kowallabe Quartzite is a newly mined quartzite from Australia with a hardness of about 5 to 6 on the Mohs Scale. It features translucent sections of white and gray with pink banding and patterning, but also has opaque portions with earthy tones of black, green, and orange, and flashes of golden yellow commonly along the edges. Overall, the patterning is very dramatic, and the patterns achieved on slabs can be very different from one another depending on if the rock was cut with or against the banding formations.
Price is for 1 lb lot, shapes, sizes, and colors will vary between each slab. Primary image shows the slabs wet, as well as a few examples of different patterns and colors.
