This polished Fishhook Thunderegg features white to gray, brown, and reddish-brown rhyolite with brecciated areas filled with crystal and translucent gray agate. The agate bands show very faint green fluorescence under UV light (tested under 365nm).

Fishhook Thundereggs come from the Little Florida Mountains near Deming, New Mexico. These rhyolitic thundereggs can be partially hollow or completely filled. Quartz, calcite, chalcedony, and seams of faintly banded agate can all be found inside, along with yellow and red staining.
