This polished pair of Fishhook Thundereggs features gray, brown, and tan rhyolite with hints of khaki green and bright red-orange. The center is filled with crystal and banded agate in black and blue-gray, with an area of white water-level banding and a small druzy vug within the crystal. The blue-grey to black areas within the center pattern fluoresce strongly under UV light (pictured under 365nm).

Fishhook Thundereggs come from the Little Florida Mountains near Deming, New Mexico. These rhyolitic thundereggs can be partially hollow or completely filled. Quartz, calcite, chalcedony, and seams of faintly banded agate can all be found inside, along with yellow and red staining.
