This polished pair of Fishhook Thundereggs features gray, brown, and khaki green rhyolite, with a section of blue-gray to black agate that shows tiny druzy vugs. The agate section fluoresces strongly under UV light (pictured under 365nm).

Fishhook Thundereggs come from the Little Florida Mountains near Deming, New Mexico. These rhyolitic thundereggs can be partially hollow or completely filled. Quartz, calcite, chalcedony, and seams of faintly banded agate can all be found inside, along with yellow and red staining.
