This polished pair of Fishhook Thundereggs features reddish brown rhyolite with a center star pattern showing banded agate coated in crystals with an open cavity in the center. Areas of the center show fluorescence under UV light (picture shows the piece under 365nm).

Fishhook Thundereggs come from the Little Florida Mountains near Deming, New Mexico. These rhyolitic thundereggs can be partially hollow or completely filled. Quartz, calcite, chalcedony, and seams of faintly banded agate can all be found inside, along with yellow and red staining.
