These spheres are made from material that is similar to the popular Yooperlites from Michigan, but comes from Mongolia. It can also be called Fire Sodalite, Emberlite, or Glowdalite, and is a syenite (a rock similar to granite) rich with fluorescent sodalite. These spheres are mostly gray, with black or sometimes peach speckles. Under UV light, they show bright yellow-orange fluorescence.
Pictured in regular lighting and under 365nm UV light (fluorescence also displays under typical longwave - 395nm).
