This polished cabochon is made from Cripple Creek Picture Jasper and shows a sandy terrain accented with brown and khaki greens, with a muted blue-green sky above.

Cripple Creek jasper is one of many picture jaspers found in the greater wilderness area of the Owyhee Canyonlands. It comes from the Windy Ridge mine, close to the borders of Oregon, Idaho, and Nevada. It is named after the rockhounding town in Colorado, Cripple Creek.
