Blue Star Thundereggs are a newer find out of Sonora, Mexico. They have a dark grayish brown outer rind with blue chalcedony inside, typically with a prevalent classic thunderegg star pattern. Some nodules are only partially filled, showing botryoidal formations of chalcedony inside and sometimes crystal druzy.
Size Range: Variety of sizes, from small nodules the size of a chicken egg, medium nodules around 1 or 2 pounds, and larger nodules weighing up to 5lbs individually.
