Amethyst Plates, C Grade, per lb
Small Amethyst Plates from Uruguay. These flats are "C" grade Amethyst with color ranging in light purples. The shapes and sizes vary, and pieces range from about 0.10 - 1 pound. Its chemical formula is SiO2 and owes its purple coloration to irradiation of ferrous iron: Fe3+.
