This Agua Nueva Agate polished specimen features a large open quartz vug that shows crystal inclusions coming out of the top of the banding. Around the crystal is banded agate in dark yellow to magenta to muted purples, and moss agate around the edges of the nodule.

Agua Nueva Agate is famous for its striking nodules of colorful banded agate and tube formations. The agate can form in veins and nodules, and shows both banded and moss agate. It comes from Chihuahua, Mexico, roughly 20 miles northeast of the Laguna deposits.
