The Gem Shop, Inc. is looking for a Manufacturing Assistant, for 30-35 hours a week, who is self-motivated, friendly, and enjoys working as part of a team. The function of a Manufacturing Assistant is to assist in fulfillment and shipping orders placed on thegemshop.com, aid in-person wholesale customers, assist the Warehouse Lead in various departmental tasks, and assist in in-house manufacturing and production. Duties & Responsibilities

• Collect, ship, and process wholesale, web, and phone orders in an accurate and efficient manner
• Deliver world class customer service
• Answer, direct calls, and take orders over the phone
• Create accurate receipts using QuickBooks
• Assist with manufacturing projects
• Assist with loading and unloading freight pallets
• Assist with warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
• Assist with preparation of merchandise for trade shows
• Create and Print Shipping labels using appropriate online applications

Qualifications and Skills

• 18+ years old
• 2 years retail sales or warehouse experience preferred
• High School/GED diploma required
• High-energy, friendly personality
• Basic addition, subtraction, & multiplication skills
• Willingness to become subject matter expert
• Detail-oriented
• Weekend availability required
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Publisher, Outlook, and Excel
• Ability to lift 70 pounds
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, twist, crouch, reach with hands and arms, climb, and balance
