MOM124 Montana Moss Agate Specimen

$160.00

A polished specimen of translucent blue-gray agate with gentle banding in orange, and black dendrites forming both along those banding levels and coming in from the crust. There is one part of the back of the nodule which has been ground smooth, so it sits nicely.

6.25" x 2.375" x 1.75"
1.34 lbs

Montana Moss Agate formed with and amongst agatized wood through volcanic activity, and both were then naturally transported and eroded through glacial movement.  This shape and pattern of this agate indicate it could be a piece of a larger log that broke off and created a cavity that agate then formed in.
