This polished Agua Nueva Agate specimen features a split of dense moss agate and banded agate. The moss agate shows dark red and yellow to orange coloring interspersed with translucent lavender agate and tiny spots of druzy. Above this section is bright purple and yellow banded agate with sagenite and tube formations and an open druzy pocket.

Agua Nueva Agate is famous for its striking nodules of colorful banded agate and tube formations. The agate can form in veins and nodules, and shows both banded and moss agate. It comes from Chihuahua, Mexico, roughly 20 miles northeast of the Laguna deposits.
