This polished Laguna Lace Agate slab shows different sections of lace banding, in a rainbow of muted colors. Dense lace and moss agate in dark red, orange, and gray, fill the area beneath pseudomorph formations of previous calcite crystals. This crystal shape is outlined in yellows and white, before moving to another dense lacey section in mostly gray with spots of yellow-orange, red, and pink.

Laguna Lace Agate, often called Red Lace Agate, comes from northwestern Chihuahua, Mexico in a region known for lace agates. While red and white are prevalent colors, it also frequently shows yellow, orange, pink, or even blue or purple. Sections or bands of quartz are common in this vein agate, as well as intricate patterns as a result of tube formations or pseudomorphs of calcite crystals.
