This polished Laguna Lace Agate specimen shows banded agate in white, gray, pale yellow, red, and deep raspberry shades. It has intricate lacey patterning with spots of parallax, an open druzy vug, rings of quartz crystal, and healed brecciation lines.

Laguna Lace Agate, often called Red Lace Agate, comes from northwestern Chihuahua, Mexico in a region known for lace agates. While red and white are prevalent colors, it also frequently shows yellow, orange, pink, or even blue or purple. Sections or bands of quartz are common in this vein agate, as well as intricate patterns as a result of tube formations or pseudomorphs of calcite crystals.
