This Agua Nueva Agate polished specimen features moss agate in dark red, brown, and golden yellow, with translucent purple-gray agate that has little spots of druzy, and a partially open vug in the center that shows tubes coated in chalcedony.

Agua Nueva Agate is famous for its striking nodules of colorful banded agate and tube formations. The agate can form in veins and nodules, and shows both banded and moss agate. It comes from Chihuahua, Mexico, roughly 20 miles northeast of the Laguna deposits.
