This little nodule of Variscite has a natural back and a front cut edge. The outer surface is coated in a chalky layer with medium to light mint green inside.

Variscite is type of mineral similar to Turquoise, mainly differing in its crystal system and lack of copper within its chemical makeup. It is formed from water depositing phosphate ions onto aluminum-rich rocks. Its shades of beautiful green colors come from inclusions of chromium or vanadium.
