Agate Creek Agate comes from the premier locality for agates in Australia. This polished specimen has a waxy outer exterior in red-orange, with banded agate in red, orange, and yellow. The bands show strong parallax and two quartz pockets in the middle.

Agate Creek Agate, also commonly called Queensland Agate, comes from an area in the north of Queensland, Australia, where several creeks come to a head. Naturally weathered agates can be found in gravel beds or soil fields, and several deposits produce nodules through hand-digging.
