This large cathedral pair comes from Brazil and has thick flat bases, polished faces, and impressively dark purple crystals. The geode crust is lined in blue and white banded agate with some spots of green mossy formations poking in from the edges. The chalcedony then turns into quartz crystals and the natural gradient of white to deep purple on each amethyst crystal is visible. Throughout both cathedrals are tiny, visible, golden colored iron inclusions sitting within the crystals. They sit within the deepest parts of the purple and outline the crystal layers within.
Available as a pair, or as individual cathedrals.

Amethyst is a type of quartz known for its beautiful purple coloring, which is due to additional mineral inclusions and geological factors. Its chemical formula is SiO2 and the irradiation of ferrous iron (Fe3+) causes localized purple that is generally strongest toward the tips of the crystals. It is said Amethyst can be used to promote a sense of calm, balance, and peace. Amethyst can be found all over the world, most prominently in Brazil, Canada, Uruguay, and Zambia.
