This lot of pendants contains twelve pieces made from Rocky Butte Picture Jasper, displaying muted blue-green, golden browns, tan, and pink to red jasper with varying patterning. Each topped with a 925 sterling silver bail which allows the full beauty of the stone to show, with a wide opening to allow for most size chains/clasps feed through.

Rocky Butte is a form of picture jasper that is characterized by its earthy tones such as green, brown, yellow, and clay-blue. It is found near the Oregon-Idaho border in the Owyhee Mountains. Its extraordinary color banding and veined flow patterns are created by petrified or silicate mud and sometimes dendritic inclusions.
