This Megalodon fossil tooth comes from the coast of South Carolina. The upper root is very dark brown and textured, with a gray/beige tooth that is smoother beneath. It has mostly intact edges with intact serration, with small chips on either side.

The otodus megalodon is an extinct species of shark that swam and lived in warm oceans globally, from the Miocene to Pliocene eras. The largest Megalodon tooth ever found has been just under 7 1/2 inches long!
