Sculptured Copper - small

$24.99
SKU: SKU002197

Native copper is used to form these interesting sculptures. Molten copper at 2200˚F is poured into water soaked straw. The straw forms the shape, then burns away, and the copper forms solidify in the cool water.  The chemical symbol for copper is Cu.

Old customs of the early miners indicate that lead was used in the above process. Following the old traditions, this sculpted copper has been proudly manufactured in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula.
