Coquina Jasper is a jasper, from India, with shells or coral imbedded in the sedimentary rock. Coquina is the Spanish word for cockleshells or shellfish. It is also called as Elephant Jasper or Script Stone.
Average size pieces range from 0.75 - 1.5 inches. Mohs hardness of 6.5 - 7.
