This Agua Nueva Agate polished specimen features a large open quartz vug that shows botryoidal formations and sprays of inclusions, surrounded by banded agate in dark yellow, orange, and bright red. Interesting patterns are created from tube and moss inclusions, with mossy patterning along the edges inside translucent agate.

Agua Nueva Agate is famous for its striking nodules of colorful banded agate and tube formations. The agate can form in veins and nodules, and shows both banded and moss agate. It comes from Chihuahua, Mexico, roughly 20 miles northeast of the Laguna deposits.
