Hyalite Opal

$29.99

Hyalite is a type of potch or common opal, meaning it does not have the color play that precious opals have. The cluster is clear and botyroidal, with a slight blue tint, growing from a yellow-brown host rock. Due to amounts of uranyl, a uranium residue, it fluoresces a bright white or green under UV light. The chemical formula for Hyalite is SiO2 · nH2O.

This listing is for one piece of rough Hyalite. The pictures shown are representative of what you will receive, but may not be the exact piece. Shape and size will vary.
