Thank you for teaching us what people do at
The Gem Shop. We Learned a lot about rocks and minerals. We now know there are different ways to cut and
polish them.
One of our favorite stations was the mineral one. We did’t know toothpaste was made of fluorite. We think it is amazing that you get minerals imported from all over the world. Another favorite station was the one with gems because we got to look at our birthstones. The gems looked shiny and perfect. We liked the amethyst, turquoise, topaz, and emerald.
We loved the fossils you showed us. The trilobite, our state fossil, was awesome and incredible. The dinosaur eggs were cool!
We really like looking at the diamond saws. We appreciate you telling us about if you open diamond saws while they are running, they would spray oil all over you. We thought it was weird that they would’t cut you.
