The size ranges from 2.5" to 3.5" long.
Orthoceras fossils are common and can be found all over the world in any marine rock, especially limestone, though these were found in a marble from Morocco. The Orthoceras is an extinct nautiloid cephalopod from the Middle Ordovician Period.
