Eden Valley Petrified Wood is found in west-central Wyoming from three well known collecting areas named the Blue Forest (about 30 miles west of Farson, Wyoming), Big Sandy Reservoir (just north of Farson), and Oregon Buttes (east of South Pass Wyoming).
