Tuxedo Agate, a new black and white banded agate, is being offered for the first time at the Tucson Show Jan 29-Feb 13, 2005.

This agate is slabbed and shaped in our lapidary and then is sent out to be enhanced by a process similar to that of the agate known as "black onyx". Upon its return to us, it is polished with the famous "mirror-finish" at The Gem Shop lapidary.

The characteristics of fine banding, high contrast, swirls, and tubes will offer the creative designer many opportunities for dramatic and elegant jewelry pieces. Singles and pairs are available in sizes appropriate for earrings to large pendants or brooches. Rough slabs are also available by the pound.
